Grass Slipper by Donna Kallner

Tradition in evolution.

Outhouse -- a visual representation of my own sense of where I fit on the technology continuum

Most of my students would agree, I hope, that I'm pretty good at organizing things to make it easy for other people to have successful outcomes. But not here, not now.

I hope you will forgive me if you can't subscribe to this web site with the click of an RSS button. You can subscribe to my blogs just like that [snap]. (You'll have to imagine the snap of fingers -- I don't know how to embed audio and sync the sound with your thoughts as you read). The blogging platform I use makes it very easy for me to make things easy for you. If you subscribe to Two Red Threads, when I update the content here at donnakallner.com you'll know because I'll post it there and word will get to you as if by magic.

Here, on the other hand, I'm flying solo. I've learned a lot in the years I've been building this site. There's more I could do. Someday I'll take a web design class, or hire someone with real skills to do the work and stick to fiber.

For now, though, I can say it's good enough and trust you to bookmark this site, subscribe to the blog and keep me in your thoughts. For now, that's what I'm going to do.

When you visit Two Red Threads and my other blog, Compost and Creativity, you'll find that "how to live a post-perfection life" is a frequent theme in my writing. It's hard for us recovering perfectionists to say, "This is the very best I can do, and it's good enough." Our natural instinct is to say, "I'll keep working on this until it's perfect. I can't move on until this is perfect. I know I can get it. I just need more time…"

I may revisit the intention to make it easy for you to subscribe to this site. Someday. In the meantime, I'm going to my studio. Before I go, I invite you to join me in a small act of open rebellion against things that are too easy. Just push button below
